UNCG’s MPA program has been ranked in the top 50 list of MPA programs nationally. Among 400 MPA programs researched, our MPA was highly rated because of our program’s affordability, NASPAA accreditation, salaries, and prestige. Only two other NC programs are in the top 50–NC State and UNC Chapel Hill. There certainly are other strengths of our program that we would brag about (great students and faculty, small classes, applied research projects, and networking opportunities), but we’ll take it! Human Rights Film Series: The Look of Silence

This Academy-award nominee provides a survivor’s intimate encounter with perpetrators of Indonesia’s 1965-66 anti-communist genocide and the legacy of fear that remains.
The Look of Silence is the final film to be shown this fall in the Human Rights Series. It will begin at 6:30pm in Room 120 School of Education Building, with convenient parking in the Walker and Oakland Parking Decks.
A reception and refreshments follow the film and subsequent discussion.

Pray The Devil Back to Hell

This documentary features a coalition of Muslim and Christian women who work for peace and democratic elections in Liberia following its civil war.
A post-film discussion will be facilitated by UNCG professor Bob Griffiths.
Pray the Devil Back to Hell is the third of four award-winning films to be shown this fall in the Human Rights Series. All films will begin at 6:30pm in Room 120 School of Education Building, with convenient parking in the Walker and Oakwood Parking Decks. The final film in the series will be The Look of Silence (November 10).
