Legal Professions Association
The purpose of the Legal Professions Association is to promote academic ideals for students wishing to pursue careers in law related professions throughout the semester. The association invites guest speakers such as judges, lawyers, child protective services agents, and other law enforcement officials, to talk about their careers. It also provides valuable resources to those seeking assistance in taking the LSAT or admission to law school.
Political Awareness Club
PAC is a nonpartisan group made up primarily of political science majors. PAC’s goal is to encourage discussion of contemporary political issues, foreign and domestic, by sponsoring events such as Pizza & Politics and PAC Roundtables. All students are welcome in PAC. Just show up at our meetings with an open mind and a willingness to engage in interesting discussions with other students of all political stripes. Be on the lookout for information about PAC events and meetings on the political science list and on posters throughout the Curry Building.
PAC is currently recruiting new members and leadership.
The Model U.N. Club
The Model UN Club is open to all UNCG students interested in learning more about international relations and attending Model UN conferences to practice international diplomacy. This fall, members of this club have adopted a new club constitution, elected a new executive board, and are preparing to attend the Southern Regional Model UN Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, in November.
The National Political Science Honor Society
Sigma Xi Chapter
Pi Sigma Alpha is the national Political Science Honor Society. Membership is limited to Political Science majors who meet the following requirements:
- Has COMPLETED at least 60 academic hours (current hours do not count);
- Has COMPLETED at least 15 hours in Political Science (current hours do not count);
- Of the 15 completed hours in PSC, at least 3 of them must be at the 300-level or above;
- Overall GPA must be 3.3 or higher;
- Major GPA must be 3.3 or higher.
If you meet the requirements, application forms can be found in the PSC Office and in Mr. Colbert’s Office (308 Curry). You must fill out the form and attach a current copy of your transcript. Concerning cost, national dues are paid by the PSC Department, but you are responsible for the annual local dues ($25 in check, payable to UNCG PSC Department, or cash).

As the official governing organization of the student body, the Student Government Association (SGA) is dedicated to promoting positive change and addressing the overall interests and concerns of all students at UNCG.
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro Student Government Association is dedicated to making positive change and promoting an environment of open discourse and academic excellence. Our job is to advocate on behalf of all students and proactively represent the student voice to administration and staff. We strive to improve every aspect of your college experience, we are always looking for student input and opinions.
We encourage you to come to senate meetings every Tuesday at 7pm and follow us on Instagram @uncg.sga to stay up to date with all things SGA.
