Congratulations to our MPA Alumni!

Congratulations to our alumni for special recognition for their excellent public service!

Rachel Hawley Kelly (‘MPA ’09) was voted as one of Triad Business Journal’s 40 under 40!  Rachel is the Director of Public Policy for the City of Burlington.

Sarah McGuire (MPA’14) was selected as a Founder’s Fellow by the national American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).  This competitive award provides her with a free ASPA conference in March and mentoring with a key ASPA leader.  Currently serving on the local Piedmont Triad chapter board, Sarah works as the Community Outreach Specialist for Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART).

Joshua Sherrick (MPA ’15) was recently selected as a Rising Star by the national American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) due to his leadership as President of the Piedmont Triad Chapter.  He is the City of Greensboro’s Arts and Events Superintendent.  He has been one of the key, behind-the-scenes folks making the National Folk Festival a big success for Greensboro for the past three years.  The festival has become the largest public event the City hosts.
